Welcome to Organic Nutrition…where “Nothing Goes to Waste!”
One of the single most important challenges we face in a world growing from seven billion to nine billion people by 2050 is, and will continue to be the production of healthy, sustainable food.

Organic Nutrition has perfected a new and exciting business model that addresses and solves this problem. The future of food production is available here today. It’s all about mimicking nature, using overlapping animal/plant production systems to produce healthier, sustainable food, while reducing costs and minimizing risk.

Organic Nutrition’s formula for success is the application of integration, technology and science. Our environmentally friendly approach produces organically grown herbs and vegetables; and fresh, all-natural fish. We go beyond organic!

But there’s more to our story……as we help feed the world in a healthy manner we provide jobs in local communities; and help reduce the enormous carbon footprint of food.

“More food will have to be produced over the next 50 years than has been produced during the past 10,000 years combined.”
Jacques Diouf, Director-General, UN Food and Agriculture Organization 2009

Our Mission

Organic Nutrition’s mission is to develop a global food production platform that changes the way food is produced, and inspires consumers to demand healthier, fresher, and locally produced products. Our innovation, technologies, and proprietary methodologies reduce reliance on the current food distribution system and provide superior nutrition and greater food security.

Our Approach

Our solution to the food dilemma is innovation, sustainability and technology. The Organic Nutrition model combines ecofriendly aquaculture with all-natural hydroponics, creating a process that is beneficial in the removal of solid fish wastes to be used as fertilizer for soilless agriculture. . . The later incorporation of mass insect production will add a second waste source for fertilizer and an organic protein meal for our fish. Our ground breaking approach has brought the Founders’ early vision to reality by bringing disruptive technologies to a platform which produces healthy flavorful herbs and vegetables, and fish from the natural processes. One dimensional, monoculture (single-production) agriculture operations are typically low margin businesses; however, the integrated model significantly reduces labor and utility costs, self-produces much of its own fertilizers, generates no waste product liabilities, and delivers a diversity of product lines.

The nucleus of our process is the utilization of the patented Aqua-Sphere® floating fish production system. The Aqua-Sphere® is ideal for our model as it concentrates and collects fish waste for our hydroponic use.

Technologies & Production

Here at Organic Nutrition, we are all about integrated agriculture! What is integrated agriculture? It’s a process of duplicating nature…the perfect balance of plant and animal relationships. In nature, animals eat plants (and other animals) and produce waste. That waste provides valuable nutrients (fertilizer) for plants, which also use the sun and CO2 from our atmosphere to grow…and the process continues.

We believe that integrated agriculture is the future of food production. By using multiple overlapping production processes we increase efficiency, eliminate waste liability, reduce cost, and produce higher quality, better tasting food naturally, the way nature does.

Organic Nutrition will use the patented Aqua-Sphere® production system for its fish farming operations. Aqua-Sphere® is an innovative, floating, circular tank system used to raise a variety of fish, while concentrating and removing nutrient-rich fish waste. Collected waste is then used to grow high protein/oil-rich algae and high quality organic herbs and vegetables (hydroponics), essentially turning a costly by-product into an asset. The solid-walled system prevents predation, escapism, and isolates and protects the crops in the event of low oxygen This allows fish production in closed bodies of water and environmentally sensitive areas without polluting effects Aqua-Sphere® contains a multitude of exclusive features that make it the most disruptive, next-generation technology available to the aquaculture industry today. This technology blends features that satisfy producers , environmentalists, and government regulators alike. The system’s incredibly low energy consumption rate lends itself to any number of alternative energy sources, which is an ideal fit for the Organic Nutrition model. The original Aqua-Sphere® technology was featured as “ The Fish Farm of the Future” on the Discovery Channel, in March, and on National Geographic Explorer in August, 2008. It has also been featured on the cover of Biodiesel Magazine, Fish Farming International, NBC 6 News Miami, and others.
Hydroponics is the cultivation of plants without soil. Organic Nutrition has grown close to 100 varieties of herbs, vegetables and fruits in its hydroponic greenhouses. All produce is 100% pesticide free, and grown in a controlled environment for maximum flavor freshness and sustainability. We provide our customers locally produced products harvested to order. Vegetables arrive daily at markets fresh and crisp, greatly increasing shelf life. This combination reduces the carbon footprint of shipping, as well as loss to spoilage.
Aquaponics is the process of combining hydroponics (the soilless cultivation of plants), with fish farming. This can either be done in a Coupled system, where fish and plants are produced in the same system; or De-coupled system where fish and plants are grown in separate systems, but the waste of the fish is used as fertilizer. Organic Nutrition’s de-coupled approach uses the Aqua-Sphere (water-based) and hydroponic greenhouses(land-based) as a unique approach to aquaponics.
Entoponics™ is the process that combines the mass production of insects with hydroponics. Similar in concept to aquaponics, where fish and plants are combined, Entoponics™ utilizes the waste produced through the insect production process as fertilizer for hydroponic produce. This unique process developed and perfected by Organic Nutrition has been in use for more than 6 years.
Different varieties of microalgae provide specialized nutrients that can supplement Ento-Protein’s nutritional profile and volumes. We have produced over 12 varieties of microalgae specializing in Omega 3 fatty acids, chlorophyll, and plant protein. Spirulina is an example of a high protein strain of algae that has been produced at Organic Nutrition to be utilized as a dried additive to Ento-Protein. Algae are a proven nutritional booster to animal and human food products.

The future of Organic Nutrition will be the development of
additional Ento-Products including Entolizer and Ento-Chitin:

“In a day and time when agriculture is under increasing pressure to produce 70% more food for 30% more people in 40 years, it’s incredible that one-third of food production is wasted every year, yet that’s the estimate from the U.N. Food & Agriculture Organization.” “ERS, a source for the USDA/EPA Food Waste Challenge, calculated that 133 billion pounds of food produced in the U.S. in 2010—or 31% of the total 430 billion pounds of food produced—was not consumed.”
